In this large family portrait, the members of the group are depicted in simple attire, in perfect accordance with the Calvinistic dictates of the time.
The wife, in a shy, reserved pose, has her daughters next to her while the head of the family has a solemn, satisfied expression as if to show the wealth he has achieved. The boy, heir to the family fortune, holds a golf club that is a testament to the family’s high social standing.
Excellent state of conservation.
